Social Media Simulation

        This semester we were required to partake in a program that ran a social media simulation and gave us an insight into what it takes to grow a brand on all social media platforms. The simulation was fascinating and had many different aspects to it. For example, the simulation made us post organic content on all social media platforms. It gives us resources such as what demographics are on our platforms. It also gave us a report of the best times for each platform. Sometimes you need to post something on Instagram at four and another thing on another platform another day. It was a challenge to juggle all these platforms simultaneously, but it made for an excellent experience for us.

        I enjoyed the part when we could purchase or get free content. It was interesting to see how much some things cost and how other things are free. My favorite part was negotiating with inducers to use our brand. It was hard to convince these people to work with us because sometimes they wanted much more money than I was willing to spend. I felt that it was very intriguing and was something I really enjoyed. 

        After all, I finished in sixth place out of my class. I wish I could've done better, but that is okay because I learned some valuable lessons. I encourage you all to find some sort of simulation that is like this one. It teaches you how to maintain a budget and also how to maintain a social media presence on social media.

  2. I really enjoyed the simulation (mostly because I won). It was really well made and quite fun at times. I honestly wonder how long it took for them to code it.
