A Dollar a Day Keeps the Loneliness Away
Chapter three really hit home with me for multiple reasons. It talked about how you can use social media for advertising. When I think of advertising, I think about how businesses use YouTube to promote the product or sales they are offering. It makes sense how they can post multiple ads on different platforms because sometimes you see the same ad on several different platforms.
We also watched a video in class that made even more sense to me about how to use social media to advertise. There were two hosts on the video we watched, and they talked about how you can grow on social media. And one of the ways that they said was to "put a dollar a day into advertisement on social media." With Instagram, they make it extremely easy to promote and use advertisements to help grow your profile and business. For example, when I looked at Instagram's ad tool, which gives you the ability to put as much money in for a certain amount of time, which estimates how much reach your ad will have. So, this makes sense because you could put in a dollar a day for ten days, and it would cost you ten dollars and get you three thousand to nine thousand accounts reached. This is a fascinating tool, and I wonder if other platforms make it this easy to promote your company.
This is an exciting blog post because I named it "A Dollar a Day Keeps the Loneliness Away," When I refer to loneliness, I mean your profile is not getting the views or reactions you are looking for. And this is all avoidable by just putting one dollar in as you grow your company.
Hey, Chase. I, too, thought the video we watched with the 2 guys was pretty good. It was all about building up your personal brand and how you can do that to be successful. I had no idea that Instagram had the feature that you mentioned. This could really help businesses get their word/ad to many many people, like you said.
ReplyDeleteWhen I ran my merch company a couple of years ago I would occasionally spend 5 dollars over the course of the week. I wouldn't gain too many interactions, but I would always get the right interactions. I really like the ability to chose your audience rather than let the app pick for you.
