A New Beginning
So today, my family moved my brother to his first-ever apartment with his girlfriend. He graduated last year from Ohio Northern. He recently accepted a job for the Detroit Tigers for their Ball Park Operations. That is his job title, and he will ensure everything at Comerica Park. This is a new beginning for everyone because he is now employed and living in a different state for the first time ever. It's hard to not be excited for him because he is so ready for the start of his life.
Mom held it together when I thought she would break down and be sad. I did my best to make her feel as comfortable as possible. He lives in an apartment about two hours away from Ada. The apartment is really nice and will be perfect for the two of them. I would say the most challenging thing to move in was the couch. Going up three flights of stairs and maneuvering around tight corners was difficult. But we ended up getting into the room. It only took removing the door, but whatever gets the job done.
After reflecting on it on our way home, I'm so excited for them to start their lives together and learn how to live with each other. Our family may be further away, but we'll always be there for each other. I would love to be in their position, but unfortunately, I still have two years left in college.
