YouTubing
This week in Social media class, we are coving how to use YouTube and the details and tools this platform offers its viewers and people who make videos. As a creator, it helps you see how long your viewers watch your videos. It also allows you to see which videos are doing better than others with view count, like count, and comments on each of those videos, all in the creator tool. This makes it easy for creators to help them know what is and is not working. Another tool YouTube offers is chapters. This feature allows creators to give different sections of their video titles. Chapters are what a table of contents is in videos. This is extremely helpful to be able to fast-forward to a specific part of the video you want to watch.
YouTube is a platform that I have experience with as a creator and as a viewer. As a creator on that platform is really different than others. My cousin and I started a YouTube channel and grew it to about five thousand subscribers when we were younger. Then, we became too busy to maintain the channel, so we took it down. We didn't know what the right thing to do on YouTube was. We basically just went with the flow and figured it out on the way. Nowadays, I have a much more understanding of these tools and think that back then, we could've grown our channel more and more.
I watch YouTube every day for sports highlights and gaming videos but only for a short time. The chapters are straightforward to work with and are very helpful. It's interesting to see how this platform has developed over the years, and I can't wait to see how different the platform is in the future. I'd love to hear from you all. What is your favorite YouTuber? Have you ever made a channel on this platform? Make sure to leave a comment down below.
It seems like you could one day, again, succeed on YouTube. It's a great platform to use for many, especially for you since you are a content creator. I feel like it takes longer to get a following, but once you do the hard part is out of the way.
